Golf Tournament -- The Winfield Youth Football and Cheerleading Program (WYFCP) is holding their first annual Cavalier Classic

Quartermania – St. James Episcopal Church in Mt. Airy is holding a Quartermania event on June 3 beginning at 6 p.m. Imagine a game that combines bingo and an auction using only quarters with lots of prizes to bid on! Health Screening – The National Kidney Foundation of Maryland, in partnership with local health care volunteers, will hold a free screening for kidney disease on Friday, June 3 from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Frederick Wal-Mart on Guilford Drive during the Grand Reopening of the new Super Wal-Mart. No appointment is required. The screening, taking less than 20 minutes, is an opportunity to be tested for early markers for kidney disease and includes blood pressure, weight measure and a blood test. Soccer Tournament – A soccer tournament will be held Saturday, June 11 at Twin Ridge Elementary School, Mt. Airy. Come see 20 youth U-8 (6, 7 and 8 years old) Coed Soccer Teams from around the Fredrick County compete in three different divisions. The games will be 20 minutes in length and are action packed. Golf Fundraiser – The 4 County Lions Club-Mt. Airy will host their fifth annual Golf Fundraiser Monday, June 13 at the Links at Challedon Golf Course, Mt. Airy. God's Kitchen – Calvary United Methodist Church is offering a free hot meal once a week to anyone in the community, no questions asked.
